Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate Marketing is a web-based revenue sharing venture between a website owner and an online merchant. The website owner will place advertisements on his websites to either help sell the merchant's products or to send potential customers to the merchant's website, all in exchange for a share of the profits.

Affiliate marketing used to be a cottage industry that has grown fast in the last couple years.
In the mid-90's Amazon.com pioneered the idea by enabling Web site owners to link to their books and earn a commission if someone clicks over from their Web site to Amazon and buys the book. The original idea on the "above-the-ground Internet" was introduced by CDNow in 1994, two years before the Amazon Associate Program was launched. Adult websites used affiliate marketing methods to promote their businesses even before CDNow.

Now almost every large e-commerce site has some sort of affiliate program. Offering commissions and incentives for other Web site owners to promote your product or service is a fast and inexpensive way to grow an online business.

Affiliate marketing can help to earn $$ in a few ways:

1. Pay Per Click — Every time a potential customer leaves the affiliate website by "clicking" on the link leading to the merchant's website, a certain amount of money is deposited in the affiliate's account. This amount can be pennies or dollars depending on the product and amount of the commission.

2. Pay Per Sale — Every time a sale is made as a result of advertising on the affiliate's website, a percentage, or commission, is deposited into the affiliate's account.

3. Pay Per Lead — Every time a potential client registers at the merchant's website as a result of the advertisement on the affiliate's account, a previously determined amount is deposited into the affiliate's account. For many website owners, this is a great way to earn $$ money without actually having to "do" anything. All you need to do is placing an ad on the affiliate's website. There's no selling or promotion of any kind. The affiliate can just sit back and wait for the profits to roll in.
On the other end of the merchant, by placing affiliate marketing advertising on websites all over the Internet, he has free advertising without doing much selling on his own. The more websites a merchant is affiliated with, the more exposure his products get, and all he has to do is allow ads for his products to appear on someone else's website.

If you are looking for a great work at home career, you can become an Affiliate, Internet Marketer. Affiliate Internet marketers are people who promote and market other business on the internet. When a sale is made, a commission is paid to the affiliate marketer. Depending on the company, commissions can range from 10%-60%. The marketers that do well, make very comfortable incomes and are very successful with their work at home career. As an Affiliate Marketer, you can promote the other business by writing articles for blogs, making simple websites that provide consumers information, and even making referral videos and posting them on Youtube!

Affiliate marketing has its benefits, there are also a few cons. For instance, the merchant has to share the profits with an outside party. If an affiliate uses unsavory means to bring customers to his website and sell the merchant's products, the merchant will also have to contend with doing a little damage control on his reputation.
As such, it is advisable that the affiliate has to do thorough research on the merchant before agreeing to affiliation. It's important to choose wisely. In some cases, an ad can be placed on an affiliate's website for months before a potential customer "clicks" or purchases something. If the commission is only pennies, this can lead to a frustrating relationship. Both the affiliate and the merchant are well advised to ensure the relationship will be mutually beneficial.

Affiliate marketing is considered one of the best ways to earn money online. If this is an avenue you wish to pursue, you'd be well advised to research each merchant thoroughly. After that, there's not much else to do except wait for the profits to roll in!

Enjoy Affiliate Marketing

Feedburner & RSS Feed - Part 1

In my previous post of Make money by increasing blog traffice, i had listed many methods that will help you to increasing blog traffic. There is still one important method that i am going to discuss with you more detail today. This is Feedburner and RSS Feed. Many newbie may heard about feeds or see the universal feed icon or these "chicklets" from the websits or blogs.
These icons above usually represent content in any format - test, audio or video - the purpose is for you to subscribe and read/watch/listen using a feed reader.

So what is feedburner ? It is a technology program that controls XML, ATOM and RSS Feed quality control checker, as well as a professional distribution and tracking assistant, simplifying your web publisher work while extending your reach online.

I summaries the advantages of Feedburner as follows:

a. Traffic analysis / analytics for your feed - feed subscriber and usage statistics / metrics; you can even use Feedburner to track visitors to your blog or site, not just your feed, and get some useful info on most popular / top pages. etc
b. User-friendliness through browser-friendliness and reader-friendliness
c. Providing email subscriptions to your blog - which are also included in your statistics
d. Publicising your blog
e. Feedflare to enhance your feed and blog both
f. Making money through ads in your Feedburner feeds.

What are feeds ? Feeds are a way for websites large and small to distribute their content well beyond just visitors using browsers. Feeds permit subscription to regular updates, delivered automatically via a web portal, news reader, or in some cases good old email. Feeds also make it possible for site content to be packaged into "widgets," "gadgets," mobile devices, and other bite-sized technologies that make it possible to display blogs, podcasts, and major news/sports/weather/whatever headlines just about anywhere. Usually feeds has the format know as RSS or Atom. For RSS which stands for Really Simple Syndication, Rich Site Summary or Rockdale. RSS is based on XML which is widely used standard for textual information exchange between applications on the internet. You can treat RSS feeds as plain text files and its designed for PC to PC communication.

By knowing the concept of feedburner and feeds, you will understand how the consumer can any time subscribing to feeds makes it possible to review a large amount of online content in short time possible. Whereas at the publisher end who make use of feeds permit instant distribution of content and the ability to make it "subscribable". Good things for feeds that helps to prevent spam filters, delayed distribution or search engine rankings problem.

Feed Reader, this is the feed reading applications known as "news aggregators" (Mostly text) or "podcatchers". There is also choice of reader working for mobile devices.

Alternative, we can also use online web-based service to track and manage feeds. The advantage is able to access your feed updates anywhere you can find a web browser. FeedBurner's services allow publishers who already have a feed to improve their understanding of and relationship with their audience. Once you have a working feed, run it through FeedBurner and realize a whole new set of benefits. In addition some social photo-sharing service eg Flickr also offer feeds of content you produce that others can retrieve.

Now you have idea of what feeds is and their function. And if you know how to apply it right for your blog or website, it will help you to drive in more traffic as you had never expected before.

My next post will be sharing with you how to put a common feed on your website or blog as to provide convenience for your audience to subscribe your content on line.

These all depends on how are you going to attract visitors or reader to your blog. I sort out some simple but yet important tips that help drive traffic into your blog.

(a) Write quality contents and post frequently
You should write things that you are interested for. Keep writing and posting. Say something more meaningful as to attract the reader. With this method, the audience will always look forward to reading your blog.

(b) Post title optimized with the relevant keywords
Do you know that the content you are going to write and the post title if you can optimized with the current high vol keywords in the search engine (eg : google search engine) is important. However pls do not overload your post with too many relevant keywords eventhough it helps to increase the pagerank in the search engine. Otherwise the search engine might think that you are creating blog spamming and at the end your blog being removed from the search engine.

(c) The important of the Search Engines
Submit your full blog's URL to a few popular search engines such as google, yahoo, technorati, live (formely msn) or AOL. This "Big Engine" will help you to drive in heavy traffic after they accept your address. Make sure you have min 15 to 20 web pages or post before send. Once your blog gets several months of age in the search engine, they will bring you high vol of traffic.
(d) Submit your web page/blog to Web Directories
Submit your web page / bog to the Web Directories is one of the way to promote your website.
No doubt about 80% of website traffic are usually come from search engine, but do not ignore that the rest of the 20% shares that web directories can be contributed.
If you have made some study, the search engine treat link popularity as one of the imporatant key factor in the ranking algorithm. In another words web directories help to create more links that point directly to your site / blog and increase your ranking in the search engine. Higher rankings meant more traffic to your site.
Make sure that the link connect back to your site from web directoies must include keywords in the hyperlinks. For eg your site is How to earn % online, then your hyperlink keyword shall associate with this title of earn $ online.
The web directories that you submit your articles for must at least listed in some of the main search engines.
Always submit your articles to the web directories that have a similar theme to your website / blog.
(e) Blog Comment
Any good or bad comments on your article from the readers shall treat as a source of regular traffic contact. Keep relationship with these auidance who contribute comments. In return you can also visit their blog as a guest blogger, give them your very constructive opinion on their blog. Make clear to the blog owner that you require a very brief byline at the end of the post, with a link back to your blog. It is a win-win situation. By doing this, you are able to attract his readers back to our site.
Do not be shy when visit other relevant blog and post them your comments or ask questions. Networking them base on long term relationship. This is the most effective way to attract traffic.

(f) Invite Guest Bloggers
Look around for the well known bloggers in your field and invite them whether they can contribute a post to your blog. This can help to gain quality readers.
You can also invite bloggers to contribute post to your blog that they have their unique view related to your field. Perhaps may be you can allow one link back to their site as a one to one exchange basic. So in return they shall also link to your site from time to time.

(g) From someone you know
As a beginner, we can start to invite relative or friends to read your blog and it shall be grateful if they give good comments about your post. This will help too though not very fantastic.

eStore

I would like to share with you the concept of eStore on line today. An eStore is for you to sell products through internet without a physical store.
Online shopping has become popular with more people getting confortable with making online purchases through internet stores.

The good thing of setting up eStore vs opening a physical store is that you can save money on store renovations, rent, biz licensing, stock inventories and many more...

So if u think u are first timer and passionate about selling with a store, but at the same time you are worrying about the high risk of spending your investment capital in a physical store, then doing it through an online store would be the least cost way of starting such a biz.

Some common question asking can we really earn money from the eStore? Well to answer this question is like chicken & egg which come first. I think to be success in an eStore biz we need to take note of a few factors.
In a physical store, you need to have ample capital to set up the biz. You need money for inventory, hire sales personal, pay for rent and electricitly bill. As for eStore you minimise the amount of capital spent in which that u could probably turn into your indirect profit margin for your goods. So these are some important factors which could determine your success of your store before the acutal operating run start.

Eventhough you might spent less on your investment capital in the eStore, however it does not imply to you that you are straight away enjoy good earning money from your eStore.

To manage your eStore well, you probably need to know :

(1) Identify the biz that you have in mind. Do a proper on line research and check the possible competition. Study what will be the most profitable to sell. It is advisable that you got to think "niche".

(2) How to promote your website and to ensure how to attract buyers to find your website.Sometime you may start selling your products through ebay to test the on line of market feel.

You need to know how to drive internet traffic to your store. One possible way is to place trading banners with other online stores. You shall improve the content of your websites so that its page rank increases for certain search terms related to your store products. Other way is to advertise using pay per click advertising.

(3) Make sure your website is easy to navigate so the buyers can easily find the products they want. In another words your system must keep as user friendly and simple as possible. It will be good to have a biz contact line display in your eStore. This is to ensure that the customer can reach you easily should they find any issue with the purchase.

(4) Your pay system must be easy to manage by the buyers. You sure u do not want to see in such an occasion when the goods was so attracted by the buyers & he was almost at the final stage of purchasing the goods, and suddenly the buyer decided to call off the deal because he could be so frustrasted of how to opeating the payment with your system.

To summaries, a good eStore must think of "niche", and how to attract cloud (the traffic !) to your store, a good products navigation system and finally an easy payment scheme.

Cheers for your success in eStore biz.

Pay Per Post

In my previous post, i had shared with you the power of widget.
Today i would like to share with u about Pay Per Pos. As a blogger, besides knowing how to put the ads on your blog side, there is other ways of earning quick money too. That is pay per post.
Since you are writing something regularly in a certain specific category, have you ever reliased that you might use your skill of writting post & sell it to the advertisers who willing to sponsor specific content.
So what is Pay Per Post (PPP) ? and what is the relationship between bloggers and advertisers ?
Pay Per Post (PPP) : Is a website which helps the blogger (Or called content creators) to find advertisers on line.
The advertisers : Someone who create opportunities ("opps") that describe the content they are looking for (eg: feedback, reviews etc..).
The bloggers : Is the person like u & me ("Posties") who choose opportunities in their area of interest.

As what i se the important role of PPP is acted as a middle partiy. When blogger has written a blog post that matches the advertisers requiremen, it then submit to PPP for reviews. PPP shall base on the content requirement, terms of service to study & finally approve. After that they will help to handle the payment matter as well.
You can reach payperpost.com for details.

Enjoy PPP & earn $$$

But what is web widget ? (Commonly referred to 'widget' & pronounced wih-jit !)
